Google Maps
Google Maps API offers the possibility to insert maps in our web. Some AJAX libraries written in Javascript have widgets to make the insert and visualization even more easy:
- OpenLayers: Free (BSD license) Javascript Library
- GPlotter: Library based on prototype.
- dojo toolkit: Geo widget in development as part of dojoX.

openstreetmap
We'd like to use a open map system like openstreetmap but as there is not yet enough detailed maps available for Spain we have to consider maintaining compatibility of our web to Google Maps and openstreetmap. For pushing openstreetmap and the creation of free maps it would be great to organize a mapping party during the workshop. Medialab Prado has a few GPS devices.
